The Brief:
Timeline: Six Weeks
McDavid Bold was inspired by hand-carved lettering on the gravestone of Andrew R. McDavid in Downtown Greenville, dated 1896. Its rounded edges and slight serifs give it a sophisticated yet whimsical feel. Meant to feel a bit tongue-in-cheek, McDavid Bold is strong and confident, yet approachable and light-hearted, best used as a display typeface.
